Create the e-commerce destination for a new luxury fashion brand’s that communicates their passion for beautiful versatility and community commitment with a focus on their ready-to-wear limited edition women’s wear collection.
In mid-2012, designer Salvatore John Vitiello began working with a small team of fashion talent between New York City and Rome who shared his passion for uncompromising standards for quality materials and timeless styles. After establishing relationships with the highest-rated Italian fabric mills and NYC-based seamstresses and pattern makers, Vitello began bringing the finest Italian fabrics to Manhattan’s best luxury apparel manufacturers. And with the launch of their debut collection la coccinella (“the ladybug”) in June 2014, M. Bottiglieri became one of the fashion industry’s most talked-about new brands.
A major component of Vitiello’s brand strategy was to sell his comfortable yet chic la coccinella directly to the consumer via e-commerce. Our team of strategic planners and web designers took to heart the company mantra of ‘Simply Beautiful Versatility’, and delivered a series of creative and technical solutions that were truly a cut above.
Using the WordPress platform, we developed a unique parallax-scrolling landing page that dynamically communicates the collection’s daywear/evening wear adaptability. And with WooCommerce, we created a user friendly one-page ecommerce checkout that is simple, stylish and efficient.
The site also features a substantial Lookbook, custom galleries, pages for their exclusive personal client services, and a history of the company and its distinctive philosophy, including their multi-level commitment to job creation, protected working conditions, and at-risk youth charities throughout the community.
It’s a brand – and a website – that can compete with the likes of Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Calvin Klein or DKNY. In fashion as well as web design, quality, ingenuity and originality are always in style.
